Well that sure was a struggle – I have been attempting to purchase some underfloor heating for my house, this was easier said than done. I have to say that I have been some what surprised by the lack of good quality customer service that I have received; in fact some of the companies I have contacted were quite rude. I did eventually find a professional organisation and I am now very pleased that the whole experience is over!
I expect certain standards when buying this type of product and these are the qualities that I expect from a professional underfloor heating systems company:
As already stated a high level of customer service is essential. As an example of bad customer service I had two companies who said that they would telephone me back with a quote – neither of them did. I am not expecting the world here just a polite and well spoken voice at the end of the phone and an individual who is interested in my enquiry.
Then there is the turnaround time on the delivery and installation of the water and electric underfloor heating – once I have made my purchase I do not want to have to wait too long etc. Some of the waiting periods that I was told of were quite staggering – do you not want my hard earned cash?
Then there is price – here again I was some what amazed at the large fluctuations in price for what seemingly was the same product. Perhaps I was missing something but the differences were quite incredible.
And finally I expect the specific company to offer some form of refund policy especially when buying online – a lot of online businesses are not even aware of the distance selling regulations – or at least that is what it seems.
